Intellectual autobiography, 1963.

An account ranging from brief childhood descriptions to a more comprehensive chronicle of Duffendack's scientific and administrative work. The document covers Duffendack's work as graduate student at the University of Chicago and overseas at the Universität Göttingen, his tenure on the faculty of the University of Michigan, his work for industry (General Motors Corporation and General Electric Company), and as director of the North American Philips Company. The manuscript also describes his war research and work for the University of Wisconsin, after retirement from the University of Michigan.
